Waynetown Sept 1 -- Mrs. Ellen LONG 73, died of paralysis at 3 o'clock Monday morning at her home here after an illness of one month's duration. She was born Jan 21, 1868, in Fountain County, the daughter of David and Maria Bever Myers. She was married Sept 18, 1889, in Fountain County to Everett B. Long who died June 1916. A local resident for 25 years, she was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Mrs. Long is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry Starnes of Crawfordsville and Mrs. June long of New Ross; two sons, Thurman Long of Indianapolis and Paul Long of Hillsboro; 3 brothers, Harry and Howard Myers of Waynetown and Henry Myers of Hillsboro; 3 sisters, Mrs. John Harper and Mrs. E. E. Livengood of Waynetown and Mrs. Alice Raymond of Sarasota, FL and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Waynetown Christian Church with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.- transcribed by kbz

Death due to paralysis came to Mrs. Ellen Long, 73, at her home in Wayentown, Monday morning, Sept 1, 1941 at 3 a.m. after a month's illness. She was a resident of the vicinity of Hillsboro for a number of years. Mrs. Long was the daughter of David and Maria Eva Myers and was born in Fountain County, Indiana January 21, 1868. On Swptember 18, 1889 she was married to Everett B. Long and he died in June 1916. She has resided in Wayentown for the past 25 years and was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. Survivors are: two daughters, Mrs. Mary Starnes, Crawfordsville; Mrs. June Long, New Ross; two sons, Thurman Long, Indianapolis and Paul Long, Hillsboro 18 grandchildren; three brothers, Howard and Harry Myers, Waynetown and Henry Myers, Hillsboro; three sisters, Mrs. John Harper and Mrs. EE Livengood, Wayentown and Mrs Alice Raymond, Sarasota, Fla. Funeral services were held from the Waynetown Christian Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm. with burial in the Masonic Cemetery in Wayentown - transcribed by kbz
